Richard May

Rich has experience in dealing with a wide range of businesses from multi-million pound groups to sole traders.

Rich started his career at a large local firm of Accountants, specialising in audit and accounts. It did not take long before he started working with business owners to streamline their processes and implement systems of internal control.

In addition to this, much work was undertaken with business owners in planning the building of their wealth in as tax efficient a manner as possible.

After doing this for a number of years, Rich was approached by a large group to act as their Financial Director. This was a fantastic opportunity to work with Blue Chip companies and to learn an array of new skills.

Rich's main interests outside of work are cooking, drawing, reading and watching movies.

Lee Hardacre

Lee has a wealth of experience in dealing with small to medium sized businesses and business owners.

Before going into business with Rich, Lee was the manager of the "small jobs" department of a large local firm of Accountants. Given his success in this role, it was only going to be a matter of time before Lee looked to start his own business.

Lee's main strength is helping small business owners understand their financial positions and to ensure they do not fall foul of any filing requirements.

However, Lee has also undertaken numerous one-off projects with clients ranging from the purchasing of commercial property to assisting with stressful tax investigations. In addition to this, he has also generated significant sums for clients who were not claiming state benefits or tax credits they were entitled to.

Lee's main interests outside of work are snooker and Manchester United.

Simon Richards

Simon has been in the accounting industry for over ten years now and has a wealth of experience in dealing with small to medium sized businesses.

Rich and Lee first met Simon when he was 16 years old. He joined the firm of Accountants as a trainee where Rich and Lee both worked. After progressing quickly, it was soon clear that he was a conscientious and intelligent individual whose personal characteristics lent themselves well to the accounting and finance industry.

To this end when Rich moved on and joined a large company as Financial Director he soon asked Simon if he wanted to work there too. Even though he was only 18, Simon was responsible for operating the payroll for over 150 people across three different companies – no mean feat. In addition to this, he was also responsible for significant financial processes and controls within the business.

It was not long after Rich and Lee started the firm that they approached Simon to join them here. Thankfully, Simon was keen to do so and things have worked out well ever since.

Apart from accounts (of course) Simon’s main interests are watching movies, socialising, cooking and DIY.

Nichola Wheeldon

Nikki first met the team in 2013 when she undertook some voluntary work whilst studying towards her Accounting and Finance degree.

Nikki has worked in finance since graduating and in 2014 she joined as a permanent member of the team. Nikki is now studying the AAT accounting qualification and hopes to become ACCA qualified in the future.

Nikki’s hobbies outside of work are cooking, socialising and travelling – her favourite place to be is at the beach!

Jessica Dean

Jess joined the team end of her Accounting and Finance degree in 2015 to gain voluntary work experience.

She settled in quickly and was offered a permanent contract soon after graduating. Luckily, she was more than happy to accept.

Jess hopes in the future to continue with her studies and become ACCA qualified.

Jess’ main (and stressful!) hobby is watching Plymouth Argyle, and she also enjoys socialising and watching films.

Kim Tremaine

Kim has been a valuable team member since the beginning.

Kim’s main responsibilities are as Payroll Administrator/Receptionist. However, amongst her other duties she also manages the Companies House Annual Return process.

Kim’s previous work experience includes several years of administration and payroll experience in a local charity and similar duties for a low income housing company in Canada!

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family. Kim also enjoys weekends away and holidays abroad.
